Wet January: Day 8 – Honey Fayre (Cwrw Mel)

image

Honey Fayre (4.5%) is an attractive golden brown colour with a boisterous head of foam that soon settles down. The aroma is honey spiced by tangy hops, orange peel and yeast.

This fruity, yeasty aroma follows through and there’s a Bucks Fizz/champagne quality in the taste, giving a crisp, zesty mouth feel that’s carefully counter-balanced by the subtle honey.

A pleasant session beer that disappeared too quickly. It’s good seeing north Welsh beer here in the south.
